Once again this year, Mother Nature was on our side for the annual O.CC. Fall Cruise back on September 23 — no small feat during the wettest summer in recent memory.
Our morning started out with our monthly meeting at Wilson Niblett in Richmond Hill to discuss club business and future events. There, we had the chance to meet four new club members who would later join us on the cruise. Welcome to all of this year’s new members, it’s always nice to see the club growing.
At meeting’s end, we headed to the park and ride lot in Aurora just off the 404, where we were joined by the rest of the cruisers. More than 20 beautiful Camaros soon filled the parking lot and we were on our way by around 11:30 a.m.
The first leg of the cruise featured a lovely, 30-minute country cruise on our way to the Uxbridge Cruise-In Car Show. After a brief refreshment stop, and walk around the grounds to take in some of the other spotless rides featured at the show, we were back on the road for the second and final leg of our journey that day, taking us to the lakeside town of Port Perry and the Old Flame Brewery.
At the brewery, we were treated to a tour and history lesson about the brewery and its storied location — and of course enjoyed sampling some of the product!
The day ended with a chance for a little shopping and late lunch in scenic downtown Port Perry. The perfect end to a perfect day spent with our Camaro friends.
